We just celebrated Easter. Maybe you spent the weekend—or even the whole Holy Week—reflecting on the powerful events leading up to Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Maybe you cried, worshipped, repented, rejoiced.
But what about now?
It’s so easy to move on come Monday. To pack up the pastel, toss the leftover candy, and jump back into the rhythm of daily life like nothing happened.
But Easter isn’t the end of the story—it’s the start of everything.
It’s the moment that changed the world forever. The resurrection launched a whole new trajectory for God’s people: grace over works, access over separation, life over death. It’s not just a feel-good tradition we revisit each spring. It’s the very heartbeat of our faith.
Yes, we celebrate that Christ is alive—but we must not forget what He endured to give us that victory. And yet, we also must not linger at the cross, because He didn't stay there.
He rose again—for a reason.
So you could have access to the throne of grace.
So you could live in freedom.
So you could walk in abundant life.
And friend, it’s not just so you could “get saved” and then carry on like nothing’s changed. That’s not salvation—that’s spiritual amnesia.
If you only get serious about Jesus once a year, and then live the rest of your days as if you’re still chained to sin, I have to ask—do you really know Him?
Because when you meet Jesus, you are forever changed.
The blind man didn’t go back to groping in the dark.
The lame man didn’t keep lying on his mat.
The bleeding woman didn’t hide in the crowd anymore.
They lived free—and they told the world why.
The world ought to see your freedom, too. Not because of anything you’ve done, but because of everything He has done. You can’t earn this. You don’t deserve this. But it’s yours because of God’s great love for you.
So don’t let Easter be your only moment of reflection.
Let it be the catalyst—the launching pad into a new way of life. One that looks like Jesus. Sounds like Jesus. Walks in His footsteps.
And it all begins with time.
Time with Him.
Time in the Word—God’s living, breathing letter to us.
Time in prayer—honest, raw, surrendered.
Time with His people—your spiritual family, your fellow sojourners.
Because the more time you spend with someone, the more you start to look like them.
Let that be said of you—that you’ve been with Jesus.
So where do you go from here?
Let this Easter be more than a moment. Let it be a turning point.
Here are a few stepping stones to help you move forward:
Step 1: Look Inward
Ask yourself: What kind of Christian am I really?
Am I a Sunday-only Christian? A once-a-year Easter mourner?
Or am I following Jesus—daily, intentionally, even when it’s hard?
Be honest. This isn’t about guilt—it’s about growth.
Step 2: Lay It Down
What are you still holding on to that Jesus died to set you free from?
Sin? Shame? Fear? Control?
Surrender it. Name it. Lay it at the foot of the cross—and leave it there.
Step 3: Pick Up Your Cross
Following Jesus means walking in His ways.
Not perfectly, but purposely.
What’s one way you can choose obedience today—however small?
Step 4: Stay Close
You can’t follow Jesus from a distance.
Open your Bible. Talk to Him.
Show up at church. Surround yourself with people who stir your faith, not shrink it.
Step 5: Live Like You’ve Been Set Free
Because if He’s truly risen—and if you’re truly His—
then that truth changes everything.
Let your life tell the story of what He’s done.

Also... I made a decision I want to share with you.
A while ago, I tried adding a paywall to some of my content—just to help support the work I do here. But it didn’t sit right with me. And after praying, I decided to remove it.
I don’t want anyone to miss what they need to hear from God over a couple of dollars.
So everything is open again. All of it. Free.
I trust God to provide as I continue to write and serve—and He’s always been faithful.
If you ever feel led to support this ministry, I welcome that. But if all you do is read, reflect, and draw closer to Jesus—that’s enough for me.
